Now the weather is heating up it’s time to think about how to save water around your home…

    • Don’t mow your lawn too short – a longer lawn develops a deeper root system and requires less water to look great
    • Mulching not only helps to control weeds, it also prevents soil drying out! Compost, sawdust, straw, grass clippings, pebbles and woodchips are all excellent mulching solutions

  • Keep showers to approx 4 minutes by using a timer
  • Only run the dishwasher or the washing machine when there is a full load
  • Save rinse water from the washing machine and the cold water while waiting for hot water to heat up to water plants
  • Ensure taps are turned off properly to stop drips
