hot looks for winter

Winter has well and truly hit here in Wagga Wagga and boy is it cold! We tend to spend more time rugged up indoors over winter and often feel a little unmotivated and flat. So now is the perfect time to brighten up your home.

It is important to let as much natural light into your home as possible. As the days get shorter, we don’t see as much sunlight. So open all the blinds on a sunny day and find a spot by the window in the sun to read a good book.

Candles help set the mood for your home, not only giving off a great ambiance, but fill your home with a beautiful scent. You can buy candles anywhere these days and they’re really inexpensive.

One of my favourite things to brighten my home is fresh flowers. I buy a couple of bunches from Aldi every fortnight for only $5.  Try selecting flowers that last longer, such as chrysanthemums, orchids, roses, daisies, carnations, and lilies.

Layering textures together or adding a throw rug can visually warm up a space in Winter. Things to look for is thick, heavy fabrics and woven knits to add a touch of luxury to your space. You want to create an inviting space you just want to curl up and relax in.

Adding pops of colour will help brighten any space on a dull winters day, whether it’s with a bedspread, cushions or wall art. You can easily change these around each season. Fitzpatricks Real Estate Wagga Wagga
