From Maison & Objet, the French design trade fair held in January, there are some trends heading our way in 2019, with an emphasis on Art Deco.
Dark colours at matt finishes are making an appearance. Hand crafted items and light coloured timbers plus decorative objects such as mirrors and lighting with accents of brass and marble will adorn rooms.
Traditional pieces will get a twist with small design companies out of France working on products while we will also see technology mixed with everyday items.
Velvet will keep its on trend status, while objects of raw materials and minimalistic design will be popular.
