still paying your tenant’s water?

Under the NSW Residential Tenancy Act landlords can seek reimbursement from a tenant for the cost of water consumption during a tenancy. The property must comply with the water efficiency measures required. Then, in order to seek water reimbursement, the tenant must be sent an invoice for the consumption within three months of the issue date of the water bill.
