During August, the Fitzpatricks’ sales team have held two successful auctions and achieved great results for our vendors.
Auctions are a great way to achieve maximum exposure, generate excitement around the property and bring together prospective buyers. While competition is encouraged and some people might find auctions daunting, if you’ve ever been to a Fitzpatricks auction, you’ll know they’re always a fun event to attend.
Auctioned this month were two charming central Wagga houses:
16 Shaw Street—a beautiful home showcasing a blend of modern style and traditional charm with an enticing entertaining area and great backyard.
138 Morgan Street—a timeless Wagga home located in a prized position and full of charm and character.
Both properties underwent a four week auction campaign. Open homes were offered weekly and marketing extras such as twilight photography and photo signboards were utilised to help the properties stand out.
On Saturday the 6th of August, Matt Newley and his team were greeted by a crowd of about twenty who showed up to watch 16 Shaw Street’s auction. There were five registered bidders and those who weren’t able to attend in person, attended online.
The auction guide was $600,000 – $660,000 and the property sold for $640,000 to a 23 year old entering the housing market.

Overall, there was great success for both vendors and buyers and it was wonderful to see so many happy faces at both auctions.
